BUPA needed to enforce improved management controls of expenditure throughout its organisation by implementing a new purchasing system that would seamlessly integrate with the existing PeopleSoft financials platform. The initial target for the system was information systems expenditure, due to the relatively high levels of technology investment and technical literacy involved, with the intention of expanding rollout throughout BUPA.
The depth of our knowledge, experience and skills on PeopleSoft products were key reasons why Crocus was chosen by Oracle/PeopleSoft as instructors for their own staff. They were also key criteria for BUPA choosing Crocus to partner closely with BUPA staff on the purchasing system project.
We provided the technical leadership for the project, joining the steering committee and supporting the PeopleSoft Project Manager. This ensured that the implementation of the PeopleSoft eProcurement and Accounts Payable systems integrated smoothly with the existing PeopleSoft Financials and platform architectures.
By drawing upon our team’s high level of skills and expertise, our implementation experience and our depth of understanding of PeopleSoft products, BUPA benefited from a combination of high quality personnel, predictable forecasted costs and competitive service delivery.
