Database Administration

Relational databases are extremely efficient at data selection and retrieval, as long as they are optimised and organised.

As data is deleted or modified and database volumes increase, the database can’t change the way in which it works and neither can it optimise data storage without help. Enterprise level businesses usually have Database Administrators (DBAs) dedicated to this role.
