Fusion middleware enables enterprise users to create and run agile, intelligent business applications whilst maximising IT efficiency through the full use of modern hardware and software architectures.

It was originally designed for users with a solution developed from a combination of Oracle E Business, PeopleSoft and J D Edwards, to complete the integration of the business functions.

Oracle believes that Fusion is the leading integration middleware available today. It is now seen as the method that enables Oracle users of all types to gently migrate to the next generation of Oracle applications, which are being codenamed Fusion.
